Bear Soul Presents a 2 part class about shamanism and journeywork with Joy Wedmedyk this October.

Part 1- The Shaman
The focus of this class is to gain an understanding of Shamanism and Shamans. It will cover the role of the Shaman, the tools that they use and their relationship to the world and the worlds of the Spirits and Ancestors. We will gain an understanding of the worldview of the Shaman and learn what Shamans are striving for in their practice.

Part 2- The Shaman and Journey Work
This class focuses on the skills of the Shaman to see their own shamanic body and journey to the other worlds to receive information and facilitate healing for themselves and their clients. To develop these skills, journeywork and meditation will be done during the class. Please bring a blanket and something to cover your eyes.
Joy Wedmedyk (Iyalocha Omi Lasa) has studied Mediumship, Divination, Symbolism, and Shamanism for over 35 years. Initiated in Regla de Ocha, Native American and African Shamanic traditions, she is an accomplished Medium and Shamanic healing practitioner.
Joy’s new book, Heart of the Elder: Good Elders and their Influences, co-authored with Lillith ThreeFeathers, was released in August 2018. Joy was a quoted source for Drawing Down the Spirits by Kenaz Filan and Raven Kaldera (2009) and is a contributing author for Walking the Path of the Ancient Ways by Corvis Nocturnum (2012) and Calling to the Ancestors: An Ancestor Devotional by Timothy Schnieder (2015).
